Amy had a varied and successful career before coming to the Bar, including working in industry, serving as an adviser and election agent to a Member of Parliament, and conducting research into the reform of the Official Secrets Acts for the Law Commission.

Professional Discipline & Regulatory
Amy has extensive experience of professional discipline and regulatory cases.
In 2021 Amy successfully completed a secondment with Kingsley Napley LLP where she presented a range of cases on behalf of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Amy presented cases concerning criminal convictions, lack of competence, and misconduct – including serious sexual misconduct. Amy also represented the HCPC in interim order applications and review hearings.
Amy appears regularly before the committees of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, acting both for the regulator and for individual registrants. She recently presented a 17-day hearing involving serious allegations of misconduct against two midwives.
Amy has acted for a wide range of regulators including the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), General Dental Council (GDC), Architects Registration Board (ARB), and Social Work England (SWE).
Amy has experience defending other regulated professionals, including doctors, pharmacists and social workers.
Amy accepts instructions to represent regulated professionals in inquests.
Education
Amy has had notable success in education law matters. She regularly acts for parents seeking to challenge exclusions in the private and state sectors. Amy has also been instructed to represent parents facing prosecution under the Education Act 1996 for failing to comply with School Attendance Orders.
Amy’s multi-disciplinary practice gives her the agility and insight to be able to resolve education disputes with the minimum of conflict.
Family, Children & International Family
Amy has a growing family law practice. In private law proceedings, she has acted for both applicants and respondents in child arrangement order cases, and in respect of occupation/non-molestation orders. Amy has acted in applications to remove children from the jurisdiction and in applications for transfer of tenancy under the Family Law Act 1996.
In public law matters, Amy has acted in Care Order cases and matters touching upon Special Guardianship Orders.
Extradition & International
In her extradition practice, Amy represents clients at all stages of proceedings at Westminster Magistrates Court and advises on appeals to the High Court.
Amy is currently instructed in a political corruption case as junior to Ben Keith.
Amy is experienced in advising and making submissions to INTERPOL in respect of Red Notices and diffusions.
Criminal Defence
Amy defends clients in the Magistrates, Youth, and Crown Courts. Her case experience includes a wide range of offences, including violence, drugs, and fraud.
Amy is a barrister who is experienced in dealing with young or otherwise vulnerable defendants. She has completed specialist training in youth court advocacy, and in handling vulnerable witnesses. She is skilled at enabling defendants to give their best evidence.
Amy is experienced in representing regulated professionals in criminal proceedings. She can advise on the regulatory consequences of decisions taken during criminal proceedings.
Amy has also acted for parents facing prosecution under the Education Act 1996.

Amy is regularly instructed to prosecute for the Crown Prosecution Service. She is a member of the CPS Grade 2 Advocate Panel. Amy is experienced in prosecuting on behalf of other bodies, including local authorities, Royal Mail, and the Insolvency Service.
