Overview
Alecsandra is an experienced advocate in regulatory and professional discipline cases, crime and general litigation. She also has experience of advising in international policy matters.
Alecsandra is ranked within The Legal 500 as a rising star, Tier 1, and is also ranked as Up and Coming in Chambers and Partners, in the field of regulatory and professional discipline.
Prior to joining chambers in August 2019, Alecsandra had been exclusively conducting advocacy in regulatory and professional discipline cases on behalf of Kingsley Napley LLP in their Regulatory team. She has extensive experience of regulatory and professional discipline cases.
From January 2016, Alecsandra was a solicitor-advocate undertaking general crime, police station work and defending in private prosecution cases. In 2018, Alecsandra cross-qualified to the Bar.

Her practice in regulatory and professional discipline extends to both prosecuting and defending registrants. She is noted for sensitive witness handling, ably navigating paper-heavy caseloads and highly effective cross-examination.

Criminal Prosecutions - Private & Public & Criminal Defence
Alecsandra is a highly capable criminal advocate and barrister.
She has specialist experience of private prosecution work and has knowledge of quasi-criminal and regulatory proceedings.
Alecsandra has experience in all areas of general crime and has recently prosecuted Heathrow Pause in a protest case against the further expansion of Heathrow Airport.
Inquests & Inquiries
Alecsandra accepts instructions in relation to Public Inquiries and Inquests.
Alecsandra has experience representing nurses involved in inquest proceedings before the Coroner, most recently acting on behalf of a nurse whose actions were said to amount to negligence in the care of a patient who subsequently passed away. No findings were made against the nurse.

Cases of Note
RCVS v PC [2020]
Successfully appeared on behalf of the RCVS in a case involving the theft of medication by a veterinary nurse.
R v Heathrow Pause [2020]
Successfully prosecuted four members of the Heathrow Pause protests who breached flight restriction zone regulations with drones.
R v V [2020]
Successfully prosecuted a s.18 in Uxbridge Youth Court where a young man was stabbed by four youths. The case was later appealed to the Crown Court in which Alecsandra appeared and successfully maintained the conviction.
HCPC v AD [2019]
Successfully presented a case against a physiotherapist who sexually assaulted a patient. The Physiotherapist had been found not guilty at Crown Court trial.
FRC v R [2019]
Representing a farrier who had the potential to be struck-off following a conviction for animal cruelty offences. Successfully mitigated to a 2 month suspension order.
HCPC v S [2019]
Successfully prosecuting a paramedic who had been holding himself out as having the authority to prescribe, and had been working in walk-in clinics for a number of years, leading to their erasure from the register.
HCPC v M [2018]
Successfully prosecuting a fraud amounting to misuse of £150k of Government money, which had been provided for the set-up and establishment of a paramedic team to respond to terrorist attacks.
HCPC v J [2017]
Successfully prosecuting a paramedic who failed to undertake a proper assessment of a mental health patient who later that evening set her home on fire, killing her father.
R v J [2016]
Successfully defending a retrial for GBH where there had been a hung jury in the first trial, having had no involvement in the original trial
RSPCA v McCormick and ors [2016] EWHC 928 (Admin)
