Pupillage at 5SAH
Criminal Pupillage - 2027
We are offering two criminal pupillages commencing in October 2027, which will be via the Pupillage Gateway.
-
Our criminal pupils will access a varied training programme, with an opportunity to be supervised by members across our core areas: crime, extradition, proceeds of crime & asset forfeiture and professional disciplinary work.
Family Pupillage - 2026 & 2027
We are also offering one family pupillages commencing in October 2026 and one family pupillage in October 2027. These will also be via the Pupillage Gateway.
-
Our Family Pupils have access to a wide variety of Family & International Family work within the training programme. The pupillage will be focused upon family law with family law supervisors. There will be opportunities to shadow advocacy with members from other practice areas, with advocacy exercises across family and other core areas.
Financial Award
Our pupillage award will be £45,000, which is made up of a grant of £25,000 in the first six months and a guaranteed income of £20,000 in the second six months. We would expect income to exceed £20,000 across the second six period.
Successful pupils can apply to ‘draw down’ a proportion of the grant to assist with their Bar Course or other pupillage-related costs.
