Edmund Burge K.C.’s 18-year-old client was acquitted of murder on 1st March 2024, following a 5-week trial at Bournemouth Crown Court.  The defendant admitted having stabbed a young man twice in the chest, minutes after being attacked by the deceased and his three friends.  Although he did not give evidence, the jury accepted that the defendant had not intended either to kill or cause really serious harm and instead found him guilty of manslaughter by a majority.

Edmund led Mark Florida-James of 12 CP Chambers, and they were instructed by Waters Moore Solicitors.
