Ben Keith and Rebecca Hill succeed in Russian extradition Appeal. In December 2019, the Senior District Judge discharged the case of the Government of the Russian Federation v Tsurcan, Egorova, Kindrachuk and Smychkovsky on the basis that Russian prison conditions breached Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights and that Russia did not have in place suitable monitoring bodies to monitor the assurances given. The Russian Federation appealed and their appeal was dismissed without a hearing.  Ben Keith and Rebecca Hill acted for Mr Tsurcan instructed by Asia Hussein at Alexander Johnson Solicitors.
