Bridget Todd recently prosecuted Darren Carvill, who admitted 18 counts of fraud against his employer. He was sentenced to two and a half years at Maidstone Crown Court.
Accounts worker, Mr. Carvill, stole a total of £260,000 from the car servicing chain Mr Clutch, which he spent on drugs and escorts. He claimed he was bullied at work and decided that he would 'go out with a bang' by spending £170,000 of his employer's money on a weekend of cocaine and prostitutes.
Mr. Carvill almost bankrupted his employer by stealing the money, because he wanted a 'weekend of madness.'
Bridget has a busy prosecution practice and is regularly instructed by the CPS including the Organised Crime Division, DWP and HMRC. Her practice covers serious and complex cases ranging from conspiracy to murder, armed robbery, drugs, violent offences, fraud, human trafficking to serious sexual offences including rape and historic abuse.
