Harry Hewitt prosecuted an organised crime group at Blackfriars Crown Court in February 2012 in a large-scale, late-night train, conspiracy to steal which ended in the four principal defendants changing their pleas to guilty at the end of the first week of the trial. The offending occurred over a 2.5 years period. The group was made up of a number of members of one Romanian family.

DC Weekes said: These men are career criminals who worked in a co-ordinated and organised manner.

The defendants will be sentenced in April.
