Bridget Todd prosecuting, secured the convictions of 3 men who were planning a £125,000 heist on a Nationwide Bank in New Romney.

The court heard how the police received a “tip off” of the raid in which the defendants had planned to rob a security guard delivering money to the bank. Having received the anonymous tip, the police cancelled the cash delivery and undercover police offices monitored the area.

Bridget told the court “It was clear that some preparation had been taken about the comings and goings and someone had been observing the guards.”
