Nick Jones represented the Appellant and successfully appealed a conviction for three sexual assaults in the Court of Appeal
Nick represented the Defendant at his trial where the jury returned a not guilty verdict in respect of the second complainant.
Nick was able to persuade the Court of Appeal that the trial Judge erred in allowing in historic convictions for rape as evidence of propensity and to correct a false impression.
The Court of Appeal ruled that the convictions were unsafe and quashed the convictions and ordered a retrial.
