Rebecca Hill, instructed by Nora Talbi at EBR Attridge, secured the discharge of a young British mother facing extradition to Romania for fraud offences following a trial in absence.

The District Judge was persuaded that notwithstanding the 2-year sentence and the availability of alternative carers, extradition would have consequences that were exceptionally severe for the Requested Person and her child and was therefore disproportionate with their Article 8 rights.
