Paul Valder recently secured the acquittal of his client, who was accused of raping 2 girls. The trial was heard at Nottingham Crown Court.

Paul’s client was alleged to have befriended the first girl on Facebook.  They met and went to the flat of a friend where he was alleged to have locked her in a room and raped her.

Paul’s client was then alleged to have met up with a friend of the first complainant a month later, taken her to a different flat, locked her in a room and raped her.

Both complainants gave their evidence with the assistance of an intermediary.

Paul’s client, an Afghani asylum seeker, maintained that all acts were consensual.

He was acquitted by the jury at Nottingham Crown Court after a 6-day trial.

Paul was instructed by VHS Fletchers Solicitors.
