Ini Udom was recently instructed by Isha Prince of HB Public Law to prosecute the Royal Mail Group at Isleworth Crown Court.

The prosecution was brought in relation to health and safety breaches which occurred at the Jubilee Royal Mail Centre, Hounslow.  The breaches were found to be a significant cause of a serious and thankfully non-fatal accident, in which an employee was struck by a 7.5 tonne delivery lorry.

The breaches consisted of failures to undertake suitable and sufficient risk assessments and monitoring, to provide adequate information, training, instruction, supervision and to maintain road markings and signage.

HHJ Matthews sentenced the Group at Isleworth Crown Court on 21st December 2017.  A fine of £1.6 million was imposed.  All prosecution costs were recovered.
