David McNeill, instructed by the London Borough of Barnet, prosecuted the case of Mohsen Sabet, who was jailed at Wood Green Crown Court on Thursday 7th March for what the judge called ‘systematic, deliberate and dishonest frauds, motivated by greed and a sense of personal injustice’. Sabet was claiming benefits for years despite having hundreds of thousands of pounds in bank accounts and owning several London properties. The case is proceeding to confiscation.
