We are delighted to announce that Meeno Chawla has been awarded the prestigious Inner Temple Pegasus Scholarship to India.
The Inner Temple scheme offers placements abroad to barristers with up to seven years’ practice, giving them the chance to understand the practice of law abroad and forge new connections. Meeno will be hosted by the Kapila & Nirmal Hingorani Foundation.
The Scholarship will enable Meeno to work closely with legal professionals in India and to develop an insight into the Indian Legal System.
Meeno Chawla has a busy defence practice and is regularly instructed in the Crown Court and Magistrates’ Courts dealing with a wide range of offences including drugs, fraud, robbery, domestic violence and sexual crimes. She has experience in dealing with young and vulnerable defendants in the youth courts and has completed specialist training with the Youth Justice Legal Centre.
