We are delighted to announce that Adjoa Adjei-Ntow joins Chambers as a third-six pupil.
Adjoa accepts instructions in criminal, extradition and professional discipline matters.
Prior to joining chambers, Adjoa completed her 12-month Pupillage at 2 Hare Court observing, assisting and practising in all areas of criminal law.
Whilst on her feet, Adjoa has appeared at a wide range of hearings in the magistrates’ court, including first appearances, case management hearings, trials, and sentencing hearings. She has defended in matters of driving, stalking/harassment, and theft. She has also appeared at the Crown Court, defending clients at PTPH, sentence, pre-trial reviews, and mentions.
Adjoa also has experience of professional discipline and fitness to practise cases as she frequently presents cases on behalf of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).
She is on the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), General Crime Advocate Panel at Level 1.
Prior to starting pupillage, Adjoa worked as a paralegal in the regulatory department of Hickman and Rose Solicitors. She specialised in cases involving the Financial Reporting Council, the Financial Conduct Authority and the Serious Fraud Office. She also assisted in complex and high-profile financial crime and regulatory work.
Adjoa has also worked as a legal assistant at Tuckers Solicitors and volunteered at the commercial department of a Ghanaian law firm. Adjoa has a particular interest in the racial disparity in sentencing, having focused on this area during her LLM.
