Daniel Jones was instructed to represent the defendant in the trial arising out of a crash between two buses at Victoria Rail Station in August 2021, which resulted in the tragic death of a pedestrian and serious injury being caused to another bus driver.

The defendant, the bus driver who caused the fatal collision, pleaded guilty at an early stage to causing death by careless driving, but the prosecution sought a trial in respect of causing death by dangerous driving. A jury at the first trial in March 2023 could not reach verdicts but on 6 September, following a re-trial, the defendant was found not guilty of causing death by dangerous driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving. He will be sentenced in November for causing death by careless driving.

Dan acted in both trials at the Old Bailey and was instructed by Tony Meisels of Lewis Nedas Law.
