Following a three-week contested hearing at Westminster Magistrates' Court in November 2021, judgment was handed down yesterday, 31 January 2022, in the forfeiture application of NCA v Javanshir & Feyziyeva.
Collingwood Thompson, QC, and Sarah Wood appeared on behalf of the NCA and successfully secured the forfeiture of £5.6 million in frozen accounts within the UK that had been transferred via the Azerbaijan laundromat money laundering scheme.
