Last week, Wendy Hewitt conducted a successful registration appeal at the HCPC.
Her client had committed motoring offences and an offence of dishonesty in falsely obtaining insurance at the start of his university course. Having qualified as a radiographer, his application for registration with the HCPC was refused on the basis that he was not of 'sufficiently good character' to be capable of safe and effective practice.
Wendy appeared before the HCPC panel, who were persuaded after hearing evidence and submissions that his appeal should be allowed, and directed that his application for registration should succeed.
