John's client was accused of being part of a gang that was armed with knives and swords. The gang raided a flat in south west London in the early hours of the morning, whilst the occupants were present, looking for drugs and cash.  A palm print at the scene matched that of John's client.

In cross-examination, John established that the only member of the gang capable of leaving a forensic mark at the premises could not have been his client. The jury returned a unanimous not guilty verdict in just over two hours.

John was instructed by McMillan Williams LLP.
