Gary Pons instructed by Rebecca Niblock at Kingsley Napley Solicitors acting for the Defendant secured discharge in an extradition request by Spain.

Today, Mr Justice Bean sitting at the High Court ruled that the European Arrest Warrant issued by the Spanish Judicial Authority was invalid because it failed to comply with the provisions of section 2(4)(c) of the Extradition Act 2003. He decided that the particulars provided by the Spanish did not contain sufficient particulars of the conduct alleged; they simply provided a broad description of the allegation.
