Getting an academics view of developing the law, in particular Proceeds of Crime Law, Dr Colin King’s research is in the area of financial regulation and asset recovery law. He is a senior reader at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS). In discussion with Barnaby Hone, a barrister and the current professor in practice at the IALS.

Dr King will set out how an academic studies what laws work and what can be improved. He will give insight on how academics study laws, which are proposed and in force, and how those studies are then used in practice.
