Overview
Sian joins 5SAH after completing a 12-month pupillage at a leading set of criminal chambers, acting in a wide range of criminal cases in the Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Court.
Sian is keen to extend her practice into Chambers’ other practice areas, and is supervised by Ben Keith, specialist in International and Extradition Law.
Background
Before pupillage, Sian spent three years gaining considerable experience in criminal defence work as assistant to Paul Harris, Senior Partner of Edward Fail, Bradshaw & Waterson. Sian worked on a broad spectrum of cases, from shopliftings to charges arising from the Hillsborough disaster. An integral part of her role at Edward Fail was working as a fully accredited police station representative.
Sian has spent time volunteering for a number of legal charities including Liberty, Fair Trials and Reprieve. She also spent time working on death row cases at the Louisiana Capital Assistance Centre in New Orleans.

Criminal Defence
Sian defends clients in the Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Court. Her experience includes a wide range of offences from violence and drugs to sexual offences. She is also instructed in private driving matters.

Sian accepts instructions to prosecute criminal cases.
Extradition & International
Sian has experience in assisting in appeals against Interpol Red Notices and is keen to accept instructions in extradition and related matters.
Inquests & Inquiries
Sian accepts instructions in relation to Public Inquiries and Inquests.
