Overview
Sana is a first six pupil. In her first four months of pupillage, she observed a wide variety of criminal cases including a conspiracy to murder trial with the Head of Chambers, and extradition law cases under the supervision of Rebecca Hill. She prepared noting briefs for members of Chambers and those instructing her.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Sana Hamid was a senior paralegal at Edwards Duthie Shamash Solicitors for three years, primarily working in the serious crime department. During her time at the firm, she worked on a broad range of cases, including multiple murder cases, sexual offences, serious drug offences and large-scale complex fraud matters before the Crown Court and Court of Appeal.
Sana also represented a range of clients as a Self-Employed Police Station Accredited Representative before commencing Pupillage.
During her Bar Course at the University of Law, she undertook an LLM in Pro Bono Practice, specialising in immigration law and representing clients at the First-tier Immigration Tribunal. During pupillage, she also shadowed her first-six supervisor who sits as a Judge at the appeal tribunal at Taylor House.
