Alexandra is a barrister specialising in criminal and family law. In her criminal law practice, she represents a variety of clients charged with serious matters and specialises in young and vulnerable clients. Her family law practice includes private children, public children, domestic abuse and finance cases.
About this Event
A range of diverse panellists who will speak about their experiences journeying to the Bar and by representatives of Themis' partners. The event will begin with a brief introduction to Themis and how to get involved, and will close with a session to chat & get to know each other. We are looking forward to meeting you!
Introduction & Themis' Partners: We will introduce ourselves and Themis, and hear from Ivy & Normanton and Bridging the Bar about the importance of working in a collaborative fashion to address inequality.
Keynote: Alexandra Wilson, in conversation with Abimbola Johnson, about In Black and White, A Young Barrister's Story of Race and Class in a Broken Justice System.
Main Panel: Narita Bahra QC, Robin White, Aswini Weeraratne QC and Ubah Dirie, speaking about the different experiences of women journeying to the Bar and the continuing disadvantages faced by women and members of underrepresented groups at the Bar.
