Family, Children & International Family

Alexandra has been instructed in a variety of family law matters, including financial remedies. She is always well-prepared and builds an excellent rapport with her clients.

She regularly acts for clients in domestic abuse proceedings, particularly in non-molestation orders and subsequent hearings. She has been instructed in care proceedings to represent parents and guardians in care proceedings. Alexandra frequently makes or opposes emergency applications in these cases and is well-equipped to deal with late instructions.

She also has experience acting for the police in requests for disclosure of family proceedings for ongoing criminal matters.

Criminal Defence

Alexandra’s criminal practice is in the Magistrates’, Youth and Crown Courts. She has recently secured acquittals for clients charged with domestic assaults and public order offences.

Alexandra has represented a variety of clients in criminal cases charged with serious matters and specialises in young and vulnerable clients. She has undertaken additional training in this area including the YJLC Youth Justice course and the ICCA Vulnerable Witness training course.

Criminal Prosecutions

Alexandra has prosecuted a significant number of day lists in the Magistrates’ court. She has successfully been added to the Grade 1 list and is familiar with prosecuting in Appeals and mentions in the Crown Court for the CPS. 

Asset Recovery, Civil Fraud & Confiscation

Alexandra has defended clients in enforcement proceedings in the Magistrates’ Court. She recently represented a client in case listed for a contested POCA hearing and successfully reduced the benefit figure by approximately one-third through her thorough comprehension of the facts and persuasive written advocacy.
