Introduction
5 St Andrew's Hill offer two 12 month pupillages each year. We recruit through the summer rounds of OLPAS. We run a fair selection process that aims to recruit bright candidates who also demonstrate flair and personality. The process comprises two interviews: the first includes both a general interview and a set legal problem; the second takes the form of a set advocacy exercise.Both pupillages are funded: £5,000 for the first six months and £5,000 guaranteed earnings during the second six. Second six pupils can expect to be in court daily and, in recent years, have billed approximately £15 000 - £20 000 during their second six months.
Each pupil will have three supervisors over the course of the year and will experience all aspects of Chambers work, both civil and criminal.
Chambers has an active recruiting record with 4 tenants being recruited following pupillage over the last three years.
